KCBA was hired by Bath Borough to evaluate their existing administration, public works, and fire department facilities and investigate a range of upgrade options. Subsequently, we were hired to provide architectural services for the option that was ultimately selected – conversion of a vacant former retail/storage building to serve as the new Borough Hall. The program includes three offices, a conference area, open plan work room, secure lobby, council chambers, and exhibit area featuring local historical artifacts. An attached garage space was also renovated for storage and to house mechanical equipment. Exterior upgrades were implemented for ADA compliance and to refresh the building aesthetic on a very tight budget.
