KCBA planned and designed this new 14,000 sq. ft. police station. A stand-alone addition to the existing township municipal campus, the new building replaced the previous police facility which was housed within the municipal building. Foremost planning priorities were to establish safe and efficient site circulation; a secure police compound; and layered interior security that features three distinct zones including a public interface zone with the lobby and other low security areas, an operations zone for police administration, and a secure zone for holding cells and evidence areas. Highly durable and easily maintained materials were implemented to yield a clean and bright interior environment.
