This new 159,000 SF building on a formerly undeveloped site will house both a K-5 elementary school and district education center. A considerable site slope heavily influenced the design scheme resulting in a series of two-story sections with multiple at-grade entrances organized around a central courtyard. The school will accommodate 650 students and features a prominent literacy center with expansive views over the adjacent valley, a STEAM suite with multiple flexible small and large group work areas, a TV studio, dedicated art and music classrooms, and a multi-purpose room supporting athletics and performing arts. The education center provides a range of training rooms, support spaces, administration offices, and an IT data center. The new campus includes separate bus and parent circulation loops, ample parking for events, and a playground and athletic field.
