This renovation/expansion project was implemented to establish new collaborative learning space, improve circulation and building operations, upgrade infrastructure, and meet modern codes and standards. The Junior High School is physically linked to the district’s Senior High School and a key component of the project was the establishment of a distinct and easily identifiable main entrance to the Junior High School. Coupled with the new entrance, the addition also features a prominent and distinguishing new building feature: a glass-encased new cafeteria. Other enhancements include a new kitchen, administration suite, and locker rooms; conversion of the former administration suite to a project-based media center; and new finishes in classrooms and corridors.
