This new 15,000 SF stand-alone police facility is currently underway at the Upper Saucon Township municipal campus. Adjacent to the existing administration building, the new facility is organized via three security zones to host the full gamut of the township’s police operations. The main entry, identified by a covered overhang with landscaping and outdoor seating, establishes the public zone which contains the lobby, restrooms, confidential interview room, and training room which can also be secured for private internal activities. The semi-secure zone houses administrative and daily support spaces such as offices, squad room, and locker rooms. Finally the secure area includes detention cells, evidence processing and storage, the armory, and sally port linked to a secure parking compound and new dedicated campus vehicular access point. The exterior incorporates brick to visually connect to the adjacent municipal building while introducing a fresh new energy to the campus with glass and metal panels.
