KCBA provided architectural and interior design services to modernize and refresh a range of interior spaces across the campus of Cedar Crest College. The KCBA team worked closely with college administrators and the project contractor to creatively allocate a limited project budget to greatly enhance the day-to-day experience of students and faculty. Initiatives included the conversion of a traditional classroom into a “Classroom of the Future” to be used in the college’s program for educating future teachers; conversion of another classroom into a technology center to host a variety of classes, seminars, and group activities; upgrade of the campus theater and entry lobby; and renovation of a number of student lounge and activity spaces in academic and residential buildings. A total renovation of the campus library was also undertaken concurrently with this program.
