KCBA was commissioned for a master plan and subsequently to provide architectural services for a renovation project at this Orthodox Jewish Day School that serves students from pre-school to 8th grade. The original two-story, 50,000 sq. ft., 1920’s era building was outdated and no longer met the school’s educational and operational needs. The project added much needed space, enhanced security equipment and protocols, modernized building systems, increased technology and flexibility in educational spaces, generally refreshed and brightened the interior environment, and added a signature new element to the building exterior. The spatial program included a secure vestibule and lobby, updated library, renovated classrooms and science labs, and a Beit Midrash worship space.
